Northern Pride has partnered with FNQRL to host all FNQ women’s grand finals on the day – from U13s to A grade – before the Pride teams take the field.

Settle in and watch BMD Pride take on the North Devils, for round 7, kicking off at 3.20pm, and the Hostplus Cup (HPC) Pride and Devils round 20 kicking off at 5.30pm.

“We can’t wait to welcome you to Barlow Park for what promises to be a celebration of women and girls in our game and another fantastic day of footy,” Pride chief executive officer Garreth Smith said.

Last week, the HPC side went down to the Burleigh Bears in what proved to be a tight and physical encounter right to the final whistle.

But congratulations went out to Travis Cornthwaite, who made his debut for the Northern Pride as player No. 253.

“A proud moment for him, his family and the club,” Mr Smith said.

The BMD premiership team had a well-earned break over the 2025 Country week following their impressive round 6 win over the Sunshine Coast Falcons.

Both teams also had a full competition bye last weekend, allowing the squads time to rest, recover and prepare for the business end of the season.

Mr Smith said Country week was an outstanding success and he thanked the Yarrabah community, in particular, the Yarrabah Seahawks Junior and senior rugby league clubs.

“The volunteers who helped bring the event to life were outstanding – your hospitality, pride and passion for rugby league made the weekend truly memorable.”

Gates open for tomorrow’s games at 8.45am for the curtain raiser FNQRL women’s grand finals with U13 at 9.25am, U15 at 10.50am, U17 at 12.15pm and A grade at 1.40pm, then the Pride’s women’s and men’s matches from 3.20pm.
