‘Dancing in the Sunlight: The Light Reset’ is Ms Lawson’s second book, drawing on a year of research into the relationship between sunlight, darkness and the body’s natural rhythms.

Ms Lawson, who has more than 25 years of teaching experience, said the idea emerged after hearing a surprising claim on a podcast about how the human body obtains energy. The claim prompted her to investigate the science of sunlight and its potential influence on health.

Her research led her to examine how morning light helps regulate the body’s internal clock and how modern indoor lifestyles can disrupt natural sleep patterns.

Ms Lawson said that maintaining a consistent wake time was one of the simplest changes people could make.

“So waking up at the same time every day is probably the best place to head for ultimately.”
