Twilight markets plus live music coming to Tanks Arts Centre in June
TANKS Arts Centre will launch a new twilight market on Friday 12 June, transforming the Tanks precinct into a curated night market experience featuring local makers, food vendors, music and late-night gallery access.
Running from 4pm to 9pm, the ‘Tanks Twilight Markets’ will bring together handmade products, locally produced goods, distillers, food stalls and live DJs beneath the lit canopy of the Tanks precinct, with Tank 4 Gallery also remaining open throughout the evening.
Tank 5 will also be activated with free live music performances featuring a line-up of local talent.
The event forms part of a broader shift in how the venue is activating its spaces, with the markets joining a weekend of ‘Yoga + Music’ sessions on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June.
Cairns Regional Council’s creative life executive manager Karen Le Roy said the new markets would offer a more curated experience focused on quality local creatives and producers.
