Tribute to legend
THE music of John Farnham will take centre stage at The Reef Hotel Casino when ‘One Voice – The Greatest Hits of John Farnham Show’ arrives for three performances from 20 to 22 November.
Award-winning singer-songwriter Simon Shapiro will lead the show, performing John Farnham’s catalogue with a band of Australian musicians.
The performances will be held at 9pm on Friday and Saturday, with a 5.30pm show on Sunday. The event is free to attend.
Mr Shapiro is known for his powerhouse vocals, musicianship and stage presence, with a career spanning decades in the Australian music industry.
He has previously toured with John Farnham and shared the stage with international performers, such as Belinda Carlisle, Boz Scaggs and Michael McDonald.
Mr Shapiro was also the bass player and songwriter for the Australian band 1927 and has worked as a frontman and multi-instrumentalist.
He is now bringing his experience to One Voice, a show dedicated to performing Farnham’s best-known music.

“With a voice that mirrors Farnham’s legendary sound, Simon brings each song to life with breathtaking precision, from soaring high notes to the deep, emotive tones that made Farnham a national treasure.”
The show will feature a band described by organisers as comprising some of the country’s finest musicians, with the performance designed as a celebration of John Farnham’s music.
Organisers said Shapiro’s experience and vocal style would be central to the production.
“His uncanny vocal likeness, emotional depth, and electrifying energy breathe new life into these iconic songs.”
One Voice – The Greatest Hits of John Farnham Show will run at The Reef Hotel Casino from 20-22 November, with Friday and Saturday performances at 9pm and the final Sunday performance at 5.30pm.
