The celebrations begin on Friday 20 February at 8pm with traditional lion dancers performing at the venue.

Organisers say the performance will bring “good luck and prosperity” and will feature Cai Qing with CADCAI Molihua Chinese Dancers and Lion Team.

A second event, ‘A Night at the Opera’, will be held on Friday 6 March at 7.30pm on the BAR36 stage.

Patrons will be entertained by the Australasian Art and Stageworks Chinese Opera singers, alongside Chinese dancers and traditional lion teams.

The Reef Hotel Casino said the opera performance would offer “something totally different staged on the BAR36 stage” and described it as “an exceptional evening of entertainment”.

Family marketing is welcome in the foyer and Soy Kitchen, plus the BAR36 (BAR36 bar vicinity, until 9pm only) for all these festivities.

Both events are non-ticketed.

The celebrations mark the casino’s 30-year milestone, with the venue inviting the community to “come and celebrate with us”.
