Expressions of interest for the first homes are now available.

The Thyme Palm Cove community at Kewarra Beach will include over 360 homes and a resort-style clubhouse.

Construction is underway and the first home release also scheduled for the end of October.

Serenitas chief executive officer Von Slater said the launch marked an exciting chapter for lifestyle living in the region.

“Thyme Palm Cove will be a vibrant, low-maintenance community where over 50s can enjoy connection, security and the best of coastal living,” she said.

The sales office opening at 71 Williams Esplanade, Palm Cove follows extensive collaboration with Cairns Regional Council to bring to life an over-50s lifestyle community in an enviable coastal setting.

Ms Slater said set minutes from Palm Cove Beach and local conveniences, Thyme Palm Cove would blend with the surrounding landscape and reflected the relaxed coastal aesthetic of the area.

She said designed with pet-friendly living in mind, it was close to cafés, golf and bowls clubs, shopping hubs and just 20 minutes’ drive from Cairns Airport.

Ms Slater said homes would feature a mix of modern open-plan layouts, two-three bedroom options, select homes that had RV-friendly garages and quality appliances – all with a focus on affordability, comfort and coastal style.

“Resort-style amenities are also planned to include a magnesium pool, pickleball court, clubhouse with cinema and games room, golf simulator, arts and crafts studio, dog park and walking trails,” she said.

“Based on a land lease model, Thyme Palm Cove homeowners will benefit from no stamp duty, no entry or exit fees or body corporate fees.

“Instead, homeowners pay a weekly site rental fee (with government rental assistance available to eligible homeowners) while retaining 100% of any capital gains on their home.

“Thyme Palm Cove aims to offer a simpler, smarter way to enjoy life after 50.”

The official launch event is on 30 October.

The information session will show everything Thyme Palm Cove has to offer, including the resort-style facilities, a vibrant community-focused lifestyle and priority access to the first homes.

Also on hand will be the team behind the vision, light refreshments and future neighbours.
