Three weeks of pride
GET ready for a night of tropical vibes and dazzling performances.
The Tropical Pride Party kicks off Saturday 18 October, from 6pm to midnight at O’Sheas on the Waterfront, Machans Beach, as part of the Cairns Pride Festival 2025.
This 18+ event promises live DJs, drag performances and a vibrant beachside atmosphere.
The Cairns Pride Festival takes place from 11 to 26 October, featuring a diverse range of events including art exhibitions, trivia nights, board games, Pride Stride and more. Previous years have featured pool parties, fair days, community forums, performances, and markets, making it one of the region’s most colourful celebrations of LGBTQ+ pride.

11 October from 6pm: Pride art exhibition, Tanks Art Centre
11 October from 9pm: Future Tense – Pride Party, The Cotton Club
12 October at 10.30am: Pride Stride, Fogarty Park
12 October from 11am-2pm: Queer Day Out, Sea Eagle barbecue on Cairns Esplanade
15 October at 10am: Seniors’ morning tea, QC office, 290 Draper St, Parramatta Park
15 October at 6pm: Pride trivia, Salthouse, Cairns Marina
17 October from 6pm-8pm: Rainbow Circle social gathering, Atherton Hotel, Atherton
24 October from 9pm-3am: Heatwave launch party, The Pier Bar, Cairns Marina.
