Stayin’ alive at the casino during Bee Gees tribute show
THE AUSTRALIAN Bee Gees Show will return to Cairns next month, performing three nights of classic hits at BAR36 at The Reef Hotel Casino.

The shows are scheduled for 1 and 2 May at 9pm, with a special early performance on 3 May at 5.30pm. All performances are non-ticketed and free to attend.
Back by popular demand, the production arrives direct from Las Vegas as part of The Reef Hotel Casino’s 30-year celebrations, bringing what organisers describe as a “light and visuals extravaganza” to the venue.
The tribute act has been touring for more than two decades, paying homage to the brothers’ Gibb and their catalogue of music across multiple eras. The band aims to stay close to the original performances and vocals while incorporating their own personalities on stage.
According to the president of the Bee Gees Fan Club USA, the group has been described as “the best Bee Gees tribute in the world”.
The show features a retrospective of the Bee Gees’ career, presented in two parts, with costume changes that reflect different musical eras. Audiences can expect performances of well-known songs, including I ‘Started a Joke’, ‘To Love Somebody’, ‘Stayin’ Alive’ and ‘Jive Talkin’.
The Australian Bee Gees Show has been performing since 1996 and continues to tour internationally, playing to sellout crowds. It is also recognised as the longest-running Australian show on the Las Vegas strip and was named Best Tribute Show for 2015 by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The group continues to perform regularly at the Excalibur Casino in Las Vegas.
The upcoming Cairns performances will bring the large-scale production into a more intimate setting at BAR36, while maintaining the multi-media elements that showcase the story and legacy of the Bee Gees.
The event is part of the casino’s ongoing live entertainment, with organisers highlighting the accessibility of free performances for local audiences.
