Start of resort’s clubhouse
THE sod has been turned on Thyme Palm Cove’s clubhouse as construction ramps up on its Kewarra Beach over-50s lifestyle resort.
Federal Member for Leichhardt Matt Smith and State Member for Barron River Bree James joined Serenitas state development head Blair Britton and state sales manager Greg Paul to turn the first sod at the clubhouse site, signalling the start of construction on what will become the social heart of the community, set to open in late 2027.
The clubhouse will anchor a community of over 360 homes, offering homeowners a resort-style hub built around wellbeing, connection and relaxed coastal living, reflecting Thyme’s reputation for design quality and liveability in communities purpose-built for people over 50.
Serenitas CEO Von Slater said Thyme Palm Cove had been thoughtfully designed for people who wanted to simplify their lives while remaining connected to the region and lifestyle they love.
“Turning the first sod on the clubhouse is a really exciting moment for Thyme Palm Cove. It will become the social heart of the community,” he said.
“The place where social connection is established, friendships form and is an inclusive space for all.
“Every aspect has been purposefully designed for real life, giving people the option to exercise, socialise or simply unwind on their own accord.”
The clubhouse will feature a cinema, a covered bowling green for year-round play, pickleball courts, a games room and sports bar, multiple dining areas, outdoor pool and spa, gym and fitness studio, golf simulator and an arts and crafts studio among many more.
