Fleger has been on the radar of several Sydney clubs, courting his signature with offers reported to be around $800,000 a season. A two-year contract upgrade was inked at Red Hill this week reported to be worth 1.3 Million.

Although 2020 was not a stellar season for Flegler, interest was high from both Bulldogs and Dragons wishing to secure his services.

Flegler’s desire to stay with Brisbane is a vote of confidence in the new and very invigorated regime being put in place by new Bronco’s coach Kevin Walters.

Bronco’s old-boys are back at training in a mentoring capacity with Walters’ squad. Darius Boyd and Matt Gillett have returned to the paddock, working with the squad one day a week during pre-season.

Boyd is a former Broncos captain and full back and has found his niche working with the current Bronco’s backline.
