Festival of Rugby League
The Festival of Rugby League is being held at Jones Park, Mann Street Westcourt on Saturday 26th February 9.00am – 12.00 noon.
This event is planned as the district’s key promotion and recruitment event for all levels of Rugby League, and a wonderful opportunity for all clubs & stakeholders to engage with the community.
Key events throughout the morning will include:
• Club Coach Co-ordinators Training Update, so vital junior clubs have their Coach Co-ordinators appointed for the season.
• Tackle Ready Training for Coaches of Under 6’s,7’s & 8’s so once again it’s important for as many Coaches for these age groups to be appointed and available for this Coach Education experience
• League Tag Games 10-12 years. Team Nomination forms will be out to clubs in January with the opportunity also for “Come and Try” for walk ins.
• Catch the Bomb & Pass the Ball Challenges
• All clubs are invited and encouraged to set up information/promotion stalls which will be in conjunction with Female Development, League Star, RISE and Referees information stations.
Prizes/Give aways will include:
• $150.00 JRL registration vouchers
• Bring a Buddy Incentive for registered players to bring along a mate who is not yet registered and receive a prize
• $20.00 Coach Accreditation vouchers
Special guest presenters will be confirmed closer to the event.
The QRL Admin Conference will be held in the afternoon approx. 1.00pm – 3.00pm Venue and details will be advised shortly. We look forward to supporting the clubs and League showcasing the game and all that is great about being a part of the Rugby League Community.
