The club hosted the Bulls Masters in May, with a Sportsmans Dinner, school visits and junior development sessions.

An Atherton Invitational Side came up trumps over the Bulls Masters in a T20 match, only the second time the Queensland cricket legends have been beaten on tour.

Club president Tony Potts said the three-day event was a resounding success, due largely to the tremendous support of club sponsors who provided funding to help the club secure the event.

“Thanks to our sponsors and supporters, we were able to raise an incredible $23,870 for Atherton Cricket,” Mr Potts said. “These funds will be used to improve club infrastructure.

“While volunteers are the heart and soul of our club, our sponsors are just as vital and help ensure Atherton Cricket retains its reputation as one of the strongest clubs in the region.”
