Pyramid were also runners-up in the B-grade section, which was won by Goondiwindi/Warwick, as well as the juniors won by Townsville.

Club spokeswoman Ally Jenna said the weekend was perfect.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. The rain stayed away, we kicked off Friday night with the most crowd pleasing band ever to grace our ears” she said.

“The concept of ‘Lineup Legends’ brought all clubs together for some old fashion banter and fun. This is what we do it for.

“We would like to thank all clubs in our zone for attending. It was a great show of hands and made for exciting competition and a great atmosphere.

“We make special mention of Mick and Hayden Fisher from Chinchilla Club for flying in like real polo royalties and playing.

“Thank you to Maddison Geri from Warwick and Neil and Ben Forster from Goondiwindi plus support crew for wearing purple in honour of our bright star Lisa.

“To our little subbies and Led Line, keep turning up kids, keep nagging your parents to get out and run the field with you (they need the fitness anyway).

“You’re our future and all worries seem to disappear when we hear your laughter on the field.”
