Shopping centre turns 21
REDLYNCH Central Shopping Centre is about to turn 21.
The 21st birthday celebrations will culminate in a spectacular community event on Saturday 20 June.
“Reaching 21 years is a significant milestone for Redlynch Central and we owe our ongoing success to the continued support of our wonderful community and dedicated retailers,” owners’ representative Charlie Marino said.
“This celebration is our way of giving back and saying thank you to everyone who has made the centre a vibrant local hub over the past two decades,” he said.
The centre includes major anchor tenants Woolworths and Coles, as well as 40 other tenants. Last year the $10 million expansion of the centre covered 1200sqm involving a two-storey building attached to the Coles supermarket end of the property.
The 21 days of celebrations, competitions, and shopping fun will take place in the lead-up to the official birthday weekend.
Locals will have the opportunity to participate in a ‘shop and enter’ competition, offering a chance to win a $5000 grand prize travel voucher. Shoppers will simply need to spend $30 or more between 31 May and 20 June and upload their eligible receipts and details to go in the draw to win.
The official birthday event will take place from 10am to 1pm at the eastern entrance area, between Oliver Brown and Subway. Families are invited to enjoy a wide range of free activities, including face painting, a roaming animal farm and numerous giveaways. The highly-anticipated live prize draw will take place at midday.
