The exhibition opened on 9 October 2026, with an artist talk and opening night celebration in the hotel’s main lobby in the Cairns CBD.

Ms Fernández, the hotel’s featured artist for October and November, uses impressionist colour, curves, crosses and abstract shapes to explore personal experiences, emotions and transformation.

“Life is a journey and every piece reflects a deeply personal path of faith, healing and transformation,” said Ms Fernández.

“Through these vibrant colours, curves and crosses, I want to invite viewers into a quiet, reflective space where they can connect with the artwork and discover their own interpretations.”

Born in Alexandria, Egypt, and raised in Victoria, Ms Fernández has built an international artistic career spanning more than 20 years, exhibiting her work in Australia and overseas.

Her achievements include first place in the Upward Gallery Fine Art ‘Movement’ competition for New Season in December 2022 and third place in the ‘Monochrome’ category at Enchanted Forest in January 2023.

She was also named a finalist in the Colour International Juried Art Competition for Hidden Garden in September 2023.

Her international exhibition experience includes a two-week group exhibition at the Next Gallery in Milan, Italy, where her painting Madonna attracted attention in the Italian media.

Ms Fernández has also established a presence in Cairns, exhibiting ‘Closure’ at the Reef City Exhibition at Crate59 in September 2025.

During the Cairns Festival in August 2025, she merged fine art and fashion by presenting hand-painted clothing at the Art Meets Fashion showcase.

Beyond her exhibitions, Ms Fernández and her husband, David, support ‘Singing the Art of the Heart’, a registered non-profit initiative that helps disadvantaged people through music and the fine arts.

Life Flow Series remains on public display in the Crystalbrook Bailey lobby at 163 Abbott Street, Cairns City, with free daily admission until 29 November 2026.
