Selecting a good real estate agent
CHOOSING a real estate agent to sell your home can be quite daunting and it’s difficult to know where to start, especially when there are so many to choose from.

The first place to begin is online, start researching reviews and testimonials on Google, Rate My Agent, Domain and realestate.com.au.
Evaluate their online presence by checking out their website, YouTube and social media channels.
An agent who neglects this area will highlight a weakness in marketing knowledge and strategy.
Speak with friends and family about their experiences and it’s a good idea to attend a few open homes to see how the agent interacts with potential buyers and how they present the property for sale.
Then I would recommend arranging to meet with your top three choices and interview them for the job to see how compatible the agent is.
Do you trust them and would you feel comfortable working together?
You should prepare a list of key questions covering experience, local knowledge, marketing strategies, what method of sale they would recommend and why, commission structure and what the exit costs to move will be.
Compare what strengths they bring to the table in terms of track record and results, style of communication, sales achieved and experience selling this style of home.
Finally, trust your instinct, the right agent should always align with your goals and values.
