A Catholic Diocese of Cairns spokeswoman said the ‘Eucharistic Miracles Exhibition’ brought together more than 130 accounts from around the world where bread and wine used in Catholic Mass were believed to show unusual physical signs.

The reports date back over 1200 years, with some of the earliest recorded in the 8th century.

The exhibition was compiled by Italian teenager Carlo Acutis (above) in the early 2000s.

Using his interest in technology, he created a digital catalogue to share these historical accounts with a wider audience.

His work continues to be displayed in countries around the world.

Visitors will also be able to view a relic associated with Acutis, who was named a Saint in 2025, in recognition for his work for the faith.

The exhibition will be at St Monica’s College in Cairns from 10-12 July before travelling to Innisfail (Mother of Good Counsel Church) on 13 July, then Atherton (St Joseph’s Parish Church) on 14 July.
