Range closure
THE Kuranda Range will be reduced to one lane early Saturday morning to enable safe travel for cyclists participating in the QSuper Cardiac Challenge.

The “up” lane from Cairns to Kuranda will be closed from 6am-8.45am. The Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation has obtained a permit for the one-lane road closure from Canopy's Edge Smithfield to Rainforestation, Kuranda.
Any cyclist who has not been able to reach the top of the range by 8am will be uploaded into a vehicle.
All emergency vehicles will be able to traverse the range in either direction, if required, during the closure.
