The clash will mark Tweed’s 500th cup game, with the Seagulls entering the milestone fixture with a record of 240 wins, 17 draws and 242 losses.

The Pride have won the last two meetings between the sides and four of the past five overall. They have also won their last two matches against Tweed at Piggabeen.

Northern Pride are coming off a bye round, with head of commercial partnership Raine Porter saying the club would have a fuller update next week following the launch of its BMD team and weekend fixtures.

The Pride defeated Tweed 30-24 in round two earlier this season at Barlow Park.

Tweed enters the match after four consecutive losses and has also dropped their past two home games. Meanwhile, the Pride have recorded one win and two draws from their past three games, including back-to-back away draws.

There are also several individual milestones approaching for the Pride.

Lindon McGrady, currently on 480 cup goals, needs four more to move into outright second place on the all-time Cup goal-kicking list, overtaking Nick Parfitt and Brad Davis on 483. Only Mathew Seamark, with 593 goals, remains ahead.

The match will also mark the 50th cup appearance for Robert Derby with Townsville and Northern Pride.
