The event brought together the Northern Pride community to reflect on the club’s foundations and look ahead to the upcoming season.

HPC head coach Sam Williams said the squad had focused strongly on preparation and standards as they build towards the first matches of the year.

“Our focus has been on preparation, standards and reminding ourselves of footprint and culture. The players are hungry and we’re looking forward to getting out there and playing the style of footy we know this group is capable of,” Mr Williams said.

Chairperson Kym McPhee-Smith said the club’s culture remained central to its identity and success.

“This club is built on community, resilience and opportunity. What makes me most proud is the culture our players, staff and volunteers continue to create together,” she said.

The club’s newly appointed captains also addressed the gathering, outlining the standards they want the playing group to represent throughout the season.

“We want to be recognised as the team that never gives up — a group that keeps turning up for each other and for our community,” they said.

The 2026 squad includes Bailey Aldridge, Dane Aukafolau, Jack Boyling, Travis Cornthwaite, Samuel Cramp, Apenisa Driti, Campbell Duffy, Kenneth Fonoti, James Frazer, Ashton Galea, Bradley Gallagher, Codey Kennedy, Seamus King-Smith, Nick Lui Toso, Lachlan Magill, Laitia Moceidreke, Tyler Moriarty, Tyrone Opelu, Shamish O’Quinn Orangi Harland, Benjamin Rumble, Taniela Ta’ufo’ou, Feao Tongia, Adrian Trevilyan, Quinnlan Tupou, Jirra Twist, Daniel Woodhouse, Taakoi Benioni, Kaleb Eaton, Jhidan Dikes, Bryce Fincham and Ben Walker.

The launch marks the start of the club’s 2026 campaign as players, staff and supporters prepare for the season ahead.
