Pride does FNQ proud
THREE Kenfrost Homes Northern Pride players have made their mark on the international stage, representing their nations at the 2025 Pacific Championships.

Esom Ioka, Sareka Mooka and Ana Malupo were each selected to play for their respective countries, a proud moment for the Cairns-based rugby league club.
Last weekend, Esom Ioka took to the field for the Cook Islands Aitu in Port Moresby, delivering a strong performance in a high-scoring clash against the PNG Kumuls, which ended PNG 40, Cook Islands 28.
Last Saturday 1 November, Sareka Mooka pulled on the jersey for the PNG Orchids as they faced Tonga XIII at the Santos National Football Stadium.
Adding to the Pride’s representation, Ana Malupo also took to the field for Tonga XIII, going head-to-head with her Northern Pride teammate Sareka Mooka on the international stage.
“It was great to see Sareka representing our club on the international stage, playing for the PNG Orchids,” said head coach Colin Wilke.
“While the Orchids didn’t get the results they were looking for, Sareka can be proud of how she played. Especially considering she was playing in the unfamiliar position of second row,” he said.
“We look forward to Sareka bringing her international experience back to the Northern Pride as we embark on our second year in the BMD Premiership.
“And we look forward to cheering her on at next year’s world cup.”
A spokeswoman for the club said: “We’re incredibly proud to see our Northern Pride players showcasing their skills internationally and representing their cultures and communities with heart.”
Fans were able to follow official player profiles and match coverage on NRL.com for each of the Pride’s international representatives:

The 2025 Pacific Championships concluded over the weekend, giving Northern Pride players the chance to shine against some of the region’s best.
