Popular Knob festival
MORE than 5000 people attended the 20th Festival of the Knob at Sims Esplanade, Yorkeys Knob, making it one of the most successful events in the festival’s history.
The community festival featured more than 100 market stalls, food vendors, live entertainment and community activities, along with the event’s signature attraction, the “Tossing of the Knob”.
Organisers said the festival showcased the strong community spirit of Yorkeys Knob and the Northern Beaches, with local performers, volunteers, businesses and stallholders helping create a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.

A special moment during the festival was the celebration of long-time Yorkeys Knob resident June Corrie’s 97th birthday.
Festival organiser Amanda Snow said the event’s success reflected the efforts of the many people involved in bringing the festival together.
“This festival is all about bringing people together and supporting local businesses. It was wonderful to see thousands of people enjoying the day,” she said. The festival concluded with a Japanese drumming performance by Drum Infinity.
