Personnel director for council
A NEW human resources director has been appointed by Cairns Regional Council.
Holly McBride is its new people and organisational performance director. She brings to the role a wealth of expertise in organisational transformation, positive workforce change and safety.
As the people safety and wellbeing executive manager at Fraser Coast Council for the last three years, Ms McBride (above) has been pivotal in improving staff engagement and culture.
With more than 15 years’ experience in local government, her appointment in Cairns will ensure the further strengthening of existing strong staff culture and commitment.
Council chief executive officer Ken Gouldthorp said Ms McBride’s expertise in leading organisational performance, culture transformation and workforce capability would be instrumental in reinforcing the organisational wellbeing and performance development across all departments at the council. “Holly has a strong track record in driving engagement, culture and performance across a complex organisation,” he said.
