The show combines real horse and dog training demonstrations with two hours of live music from Mr Curtain’s latest album, Here’s To You, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Country album charts.

Mr Curtain will be joined by fellow performers Laura Frank, Chris Matthews, Nick Morrissey and Melanie Gray.

Speaking to Cairns Local News, Mr Curtain said the Gordonvale performance would be “basically an hour-and-15-minute Outback show with working dogs, followed by an hour-and-a-half concert. It’s not a polished show. People see the dogs learning and building confidence and we have a lot of fun rounding up a few goats and putting them on the horses’ backs.”

Mr Curtain said the tour celebrated regional life.

“I grew up on a farm in southeast Queensland and have spent 25 years in the Northern Territory working on cattle stations and writing songs about this great country. We wanted to take the show on the road so people in regional towns could experience it. Kids get hands-on, helping train horses and dogs, and through the music and stories, they get a real connection to rural life.”

The tour also highlights Mr Curtain’s work with Dolly’s Dream, promoting kindness, anti-bullying and mental well-being. “The whole show is a bit of a lesson in humanity, how you should treat other people is reflected in how we treat our animals,” he said.
