Featuring four pavilion-style rooflines linked by glass walkways and a cantilevered main level, the home takes full advantage of its hillside position, capturing panoramic city views and glimpses of lush rainforest.

HIA North Queensland executive director Peter Fry said the home “redefines luxury living through its bold design and meticulous craftsmanship and is a stunning example of scale, sophistication, attention to detail and exceptional workmanship”.

“Predominantly built on one level, the home cantilevers over the ridge with an open-plan design that seamlessly connects all areas, creating a sense of grandeur and openness,” he said.

Mr Fry said Pine Ridge Retreat was “a masterpiece that perfectly balances functionality and architectural ambition with the art of luxurious living”.

The luxurious bathroom pairs sleek design with natural tranquillity featuring a floating vanity and a freestanding bathtub near floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views.

“The projects in this year’s awards were of an extremely high calibre and demonstrate quality and workmanship and our members should be proud of the work they produce. The projects are nothing short of outstanding and it is a real credit to the finalists and winners,” Mr Fry said.

“We are extremely proud of the work being produced by HIA members and congratulate all the winners and finalists. We are grateful to all our partners for their continued support of the residential building industry,” he said.

All major winners now progress to represent the North Queensland region on the national stage at the 2026 HIA Australian Housing Awards on the Gold Coast in April 2026.
