Naughty show after dark
AERIAL creatures, feathered seductresses and other worldly oddities are set to plunge audiences into a genre-defying show blending circus, burlesque, and interactive spectacle during this year’s Cairn Festival.
Madame After Dark blurs the line between stage and spectator, with its defiantly original elebration of the weird, the bold and the unfiltered.
Developed by Buenos Nachos Productions, with the help of the Regional Arts Development Fund, the late-night adults-only cabaret will run from Thursday to Saturday, August 28-30 at Bulmba-Ja Arts centre.
Known for glitter-soaked productions and unapologetically subversive style, the company has carved out a cult following across Far North Queensland with sold-out shows like Nachita Nights, Madame 2.0 and La Noche Attica.
While Madame After Dark levels up into the professional setting of Bulmba-Ja, it brings its speakeasy spirit and interactive edge with it, offering a lush, humid and delightfully chaotic homage to tropical nights, salty skin and the uninhibited energy of FNQ after dark.
Madame After Dark will be showing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 28-30 at the Bulmba-Ja Arts Centre, Cairns, with doors opening at 8pm for and 8.30pm start.
