CAIRNS real estate powerhouse Michelle Champion has been awarded businesswoman of the year at the prestigious 2025 Cairns Business Women’s Club (CBWC) Awards.

Held on Saturday, July 26 at the Pullman International, over 230 guests gathered to celebrate the achievements of Cairns’ most inspiring businesswomen.
Ms Champion is the co-founder of Champions in Real Estate, which she built from her family home into one of the region’s leading agencies.
CBWC president Sarah DeBono said Ms Champion was a passionate mentor and community leader, redefining success for regional women in business.
“Michelle embodies what this award represents – courage, innovation and a deep commitment to her community,” she said.
“She is not just leading in real estate – she is lifting others with her.”
“These awards shine a spotlight on the women transforming our region.
“We’re proud to celebrate their passion, resilience and impact.”
Ms Champion said she was honoured.
“To be recognised among so many inspiring women in our community is incredibly humbling,” she said. “This award isn’t just about me – it’s a reflection of the powerhouse team behind me, the incredible women who’ve lifted me up and the community that’s backed me from day one.”
