Maxx effort at Earlville
DISCOUNT clothing and homewares retailer TK Maxx has completed its shift to Earlville Shopping Town.
Fawkner Property Cairns regional manager John Cooper said the brand, which was previously at DFO Cairns, was no longer an outlet store.
“It has a premium offer with new brands that weren’t available in Cairns previously. The store receives new deliveries every day,” he said.
“The arrival of TK Maxx marks a significant milestone in the centre’s redevelopment and the beginning of an exciting series of major retailer openings.
The fit-out is latest TK Maxx format, which is lighter, brighter and easier to navigate.
“TK Maxx brings its signature offering of big brands at small prices across fashion, homewares, beauty and more.”
“With TK Maxx opening last week, Cairns’ largest JB Hi-Fi just around the corner and major new retailers and entertainment experiences on the way, we’re creating a destination that offers more choice, more convenience, and more reasons for the community to visit.”
JB Hi-Fi is preparing to open its newly expanded store early November 2026 to become the largest JB Hi-Fi in Cairns, offering an extended range of products and an enhanced shopping experience at Earlville.
Mr Cooper said five additional store openings were anticipated before the end of 2026, further strengthening the centre’s retail offering.
Three major retailers and entertainment experiences joining the centre in 2027 are:
Toymate: A major toy retailer offering an extensive range of toys, games and products for children of all ages
Flip Out: An indoor trampoline and adventure park bringing a new family entertainment experience to Earlville Shopping Town
Baby Bunting: Leading specialist baby retailer offering everything for growing families.
“These additions will further establish Earlville Shopping Town as a destination of convenience for families and attract new customers to the centre,” Mr Cooper said.
“The redevelopment represents Fawkner Property’s ongoing investment in the Cairns region and commitment to enhancing the shopping experience for our local community.
“The transformation will introduce a diverse mix of national retailers, expanded shopping experiences, family entertainment and greater convenience.”
Fawkner also owns Cairns Central and Clifton Village shopping centres.
