The high school mates-turned-musicians have amassed more than 20 million streams and have recently released their 12-track debut album, which explores friendship, relationships and growing up.

Speaking to Cairns Local News, Zac Roddy said the pair had always dreamed of pursuing music professionally.

“We knew that we loved music and when we first left high school, we both deferred our uni degrees, and this was the dream we wanted to chase,” he said.

The duo have previously performed at Savannah in the Round and are looking forward to returning to Far North Queensland with a new show.

“We’re really looking forward to bringing back, not just that festival set, but also something a little bit different that we want our show to be on our own tour,” Mr Roddy said.

“So they can expect plenty of energy, but we can also expect a bit of a journey in the show, a little bit of behind-the-scenes too.”

Released on 2 October 2026, Call It A Day features the singles ‘Longneck Weekend’, ‘Nights We Won’t Remember’ and ‘One Sip Away.’

George Goodfellow said More Than a Song was especially meaningful because it captured their friendship and musical journey.

“There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes of how Zach and George started in that song,” he said.

The pair recently performed at the Deni Ute Muster and are scheduled to appear at CMC Rocks QLD’s 20th anniversary in 2027. Mr Goodfellow said performing for dedicated fans at Tamworth Town Hall earlier this year was a career highlight.

“That is like a room jammed full of dedicated fans singing all your songs,” he said.

Mr Roddy said country music’s storytelling was helping the genre reach younger audiences.

“I think now more than ever, people are connecting to the realness and the storytelling,” he said.

The Cairns performance will mark the duo’s first appearance at The Jack, with tickets available on their official website: www.cnslocal.s.gy/vArZSs
