The event at the Yorkeys Knob Boating Club board room from 28-31 March 2026, celebrates the culmination of two years of community storytelling, research and collaboration.

The program will feature guest speakers, Q&A sessions with long-term residents, an interactive map presentation, a small exhibition of project photographs and paintings and a special heritage-themed excursion for members of the Yorkeys Knob Residents Association.

Project organisers say the celebration is an opportunity for locals to reflect on the stories and shared history that have shaped the Yorkeys Knob community.

The project has brought together residents, researchers and contributors over two years to document and preserve local history through interviews, creative works and collaborative research.

Project leader Dr Daniela Vavrova said the launch would provide the community with a chance to come together and acknowledge the collective effort behind the publication.
