Library re-opens
MANUNDA'S new library has opened at the Raintrees Shopping Centre.

It has moved from the western side of the complex to upstairs at the shopping centre's northern entrance.
Users can enter via Koch St or opposite Woolworths within the centre. The library is upstairs and there is also lift access.
Cr Trevor Tim, whose division 4 includes the library, said it was “fantastic”.
“Libraries are so important for our community to have access to books and the internet,” he said.
Cr Tim said the new space was new and about the same size as the old premises.
“Wi-Fi is well used with 8000 hours a year,” he said.
Cr Tim said 275 children took part in the free First Five Forever sessions for children aged from babies to five-year-olds.
He said the library housed 6200 books and handled 16,000 visitors a year while PC hours topped 24,000 hours a year.
Cr Tim said the library was “a safe space” for everyone with security upgraded at Manunda as well as the City, Earlville and Smithfield venues after attacks at Smithfield library earlier this year.
“It is a special place to learn, unwind and chill,” he said.
