New faces on Chamber
The annual general meeting has held last night for the Innisfail District Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism.

Nadine Picini was re-elected unopposed to the position of President, and is looking forward to a strong and more productive year.
“It’s exciting to see the energy and enthusiasm, not just in the room by the committee members but also seeing a level of energy in the town and Council,” said Picini.
“We are all wanting to get stuck in, start to build further momentum and get the job done, not just for Innisfail, but also the region.
“We are also interested in seeing how Council can combine with the peak industry body like Cassowary Coast Economic Development Group as well as the individual chambers, to further showcase and build this region.”
The AGM also included an address by Cassowary Coast Mayor, Councillor Mark Nolan on the first 100 days of the new council.
The new committee consists of, President – Nadine Picini, Vice-President Gordon McPherson-Raynor, Treasurer – Peter Lowe, Secretary – Kath Maclean, Committee Members – Kathryn Rae, Steven Allen, Leann Centis, John Kremastos, Suzanne Bassette, Kate Lizzio and Nadene Forster.
