Medical Emergency - Fitzroy Island
Young boy and his mother airlifted from Fitzroy Island.
The Cairns Rescue chopper tonight airlifted a 3 year old boy in a stable condition, and his mother from Fitzroy Island at approximately 6:15pm.
The boy is reported to be suffering from a suspected Irukandji sting, necessitating evacuation to Cairns Hospital.
Details are limited at this stage, more will be updated as it comes to hand.
