Credit Card Fraud – Trinity Beach
Smithfield Detectives yesterday arrested and charged a 38-year-old Trinity Beach man following an investigation into the fraudulent use of several bank cards.
At 9.45am yesterday morning, Detectives executed a search warrant at the man’s Moore Street home locating bank cards and photographic ID belonging to other people.
Police will allege that over the past week, the man entered unlocked vehicles and stole the items.
It will be further alleged the man then used the bank cards to purchase a security camera system.
At the conclusion of the search, the man was arrested and later charged with one count each of entering a premise and committing an indictable offence, fraud and burglary.
He is scheduled to appear at Cairns Magistrates Court on June 30.
