Enter premise and steal charges, Trinity Beach

Far North detectives have arrested and charged a 38-year-old Trinity Beach man after he allegedly stole several items from a Trinity Beach apartment building.

It will be alleged the man attended the Moore Street apartment building on July 25 when he managed to climb over a security fence and steal golf equipment, a guitar, bedding linen, food supplies and a mosaic light.

CCTV footage captured the man’s alleged offending.

At 9.20am, police located the man at a Trinity Beach address and charged the man with three counts of entering a premise and committing an indictable offence.

He is scheduled to appear at the Cairns Magistrates Court on August 19.

Public assistance sought for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Greater Cairns Region

Police are calling for any witnesses following a traffic crash and period of alleged dangerous driving on Tuesday night (August 3).

A 30-year-old Yorkeys Knob woman was arrested and charged following the incident, however investigators believe there are witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.

Police will allege the driver travelled from Sims Esplanade in Yorkeys Knob to Smithfield, then down to the Western Arterial Road, colliding with several signs and a vehicle between 10pm and 11:30pm on Tuesday evening.

At the time of the offence the vehicle had significant damage to the front.
