Anti-social behaviour clampdown
Cairns Police continue to clampdown on anti-social behaviour in the Cairns CBD.
In the early hours of Friday morning (June 25) three women aged 22, 24 and 25 have all received a $400 infringement notice following a fight in the Cairns CBD.
Police allege, at 3:00am two of the women were engaged in a verbal disagreement on the intersection of Shield and Lake Streets. A third women approached the couple and the situation quickly escalated to a physical altercation with all three women fighting on the ground.
Officers from the Cairns City Beat attended, arrested the trio and issued them with infringement notices for a public nuisance offence.
Police will continue to target anti-social behaviour throughout the Cairns CBD, and remind residents not to let a good night be ruined through violence.
