A new era for Tourism Palm Cove
A NEW AND ENERGISED TOURISM PALM COVE (TPC) leadership team has been formed following the Annual General Meeting at Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort and Spa on December 16.
New President, Gary Kerr has over 25 years experience in tourism destination marketing and management along with vast experience in leading volunteer tourism organisations.
He has also held senior tourism and economic development management positions within Local Governments in Far North Queensland.
“I am really excited about the passion and commitment that the new TPC Management Committee members have to support our tourism industry in Palm Cove,” Mr Kerr said.
After two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, TPC wants to focus in supporting the local tourism industry to emerge from this period and once again shine as the go-to tourism destination in Tropical North Queensland.
“Over the next six months we will be working hard to finalise the Palm Cove Identity project in conjunction with Tourism Tropical North Queensland, review TPC’s core functions and develop the TPC 2032 Strategy that will focus the organisation’s activities over the next ten years,” Mr Kerr said.
“I am committed to developing TPC as the most engaged and member-focused the organisation has ever been and I welcome members to contact me or others on the committee to discuss ideas and thoughts on how we can support the prosperity of our local tourism industry.”
The Management Committee members elected over the next 12 months are:
