During the early hours of July 31, police will allege forced entry was made to a Grafton Street home and a vehicle stolen.

At 12.55pm on the same day, police observed the vehicle on Swallow Street, pulled in behind the vehicle before it allegedly reversed, collided with the police vehicle and drove off at speed.

It will be further alleged the vehicle was driven to Brinsmead where it collided with a cane train at the Loridan Drive railway crossing.
