She will make her first public appearance at Rainforestation’s Aussie Wildlife Weekend on Saturday and Sunday 30 and 31 May, giving guests a rare and memorable opportunity to meet the park’s newest star.

CaPTA Group sales and marketing director Ben Woodward said Rainforestation was thrilled to announce the arrival of Jubilee, a precious new koala joey born as part of the park’s koala breeding program and a beautifully timed addition to the family in their landmark 50th anniversary year.

“We couldn’t have asked for a more fitting arrival. Jubilee was born into a year of celebration and she really embodies everything we love about what we do here, nurturing Australia’s incredible wildlife and sharing those moments with the world,” he said.

“She’s a little bundle of joy and we can’t wait for guests to meet her.”

The tiny joey, whose name pays tribute to the park’s 50th birthday, is already charming keepers with her inquisitive nature and gentle temperament.

Born in November 2025, Jubilee emerged from her mother’s pouch for the first time in early April, a milestone the Rainforeststation keepers had been eagerly anticipating.

What makes Jubilee’s arrival particularly significant is her father, a rescued wild koala whose genetics carry a profile rarely seen in local park’s breeding programs.

As a rescue animal, his wild genetic lineage is exceptionally valuable, meaning Jubilee’s birth represents an important contribution to the long-term health and diversity of koala populations.
