Knob festival turns 20
YORKEYS Knob’s annual Festival of the Knob will return on 6 June from 10am to 4pm, celebrating its 20th anniversary with a full day of markets, food, entertainment and family activities along Sims Esplanade.
The free community event will run from 10am to 4pm and is expected to feature more than 90 market stalls, along with food trucks, drink vendors and live entertainment throughout the day.
Festivalgoers can also take part in the annual ‘Toss the Knob’ competition and enjoy performances by Japanese Drum Infinity.
A major attraction this year will be the monster raffle, ‘The Hamper of the Knob’, with a first prize valued at more than $1300. Local businesses have donated gift vouchers and products for the prize pool, with raffle tickets available at the major sponsor LJ Hooker tent.
Organisers are encouraging residents and visitors to attend the milestone celebration, describing the 20th anniversary event as one of the biggest yet.
Parking will be available on the empty block next to Ten 06 for a gold coin donation.
