Guest speaker David Caspar will share how permaculture can turn a suburban plot into a thriving edible garden.

The FOBG talks are held the second Wednesday of the month at the Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre, behind Tank sixty four café from 6pm.

“Join us as we share the story of how we turned our backyard around, creating a micro-orchard and kitchen garden on a 900sqm block in Redlynch,” Mr Caspar said.

“This introductory talk focuses on our transformation journey, starting with how we chose the site and house. You will see how we built healthy, living soil and established an ecosystem that now seeds and manages itself.

“This session will give you plenty of simple, real-world examples and ideas from a tropical perspective.”

No bookings are needed, just pay at the door, with FOBG members $5 and non-members $10. The evening starts with a light supper at 6pm before the 6.30pm talk, followed by the chance to ask questions.
