Jetstar’s Perth services
JETSTAR is adding 22 additional return flights on its Cairns to Perth route in 2026, running from April through to late October, giving customers more choice to travel between Far North Queensland and Western Australia.

The airline has also confirmed the route will continue to operate during daylight hours, meaning there will be no overnight flights between Cairns and Perth.
The updated daytime flight times were recently trialled, with Jetstar closely monitoring operational performance and customer feedback. Following strong results, the daytime schedule has now been extended.
Jetstar commercial planning executive manager Lyle Brownscomb said Far North Queensland and WA were “both such beautiful parts of the country and we know this route is important for leisure travel and for people visiting family and friends”.
“After trialling daytime flights on this route to make sure they were operationally viable, and listening closely to customer feedback, we’ve added additional services with a strong focus on daytime flying,” he said.
Cairns Airport chief executive officer Richard Barker said the flights from Cairns to Perth provided vital connectivity supporting regional economies.
