It’s time to go own way
A FLEETWOOD Mac tribute show will return to Cairns with three performances scheduled at BAR36 inside The Reef Hotel Casino.
‘Running in the Shadows’ will perform from 27 to 29 March, with shows on Friday and Saturday at 9pm and a special early Sunday session at 5:30pm.
The group, featuring Ursula and Gary Stewart and their band, is described as Australia’s longest-running tribute to Fleetwood Mac and will deliver a live performance of the band’s catalogue spanning decades.
Audiences can expect songs including ‘Gypsy’, ‘Landslide’, ‘Don’t Stop’, ‘Rhiannon’, ‘Dreams’, ‘Everywhere’, ‘Go Your Own Way’ and ‘The Chain’.
The performances will showcase music from Fleetwood Mac’s early British blues period through to their later California-style rock era.
Organisers said the show captured “the spirit, the sound and the legend that is Fleetwood Mac”, with the band returning to Cairns by popular demand for the limited run.
The event is part of the LIVE@THECASINO series and will take place exclusively at BAR36 within The Reef Hotel Casino.
A previous audience member, Elsa Abreu, described the performance as: “Their show is the ultimate Fleetwood Mac experience besides the real thing. They make you want to join in their singing and dancing. They truly are worth the experience. Fantastic entertainment, five stars hands down.”
The three shows are non-ticketed, with entry available to patrons at the venue.
The performances form part of the venue’s live entertainment lineup for March, offering a limited opportunity for fans to experience the tribute act across the three nights.
