It’s all go up north

'Gazza's Gossip' "I have said on many occasions that there are always numerous activities happening across the Douglas Shire, for both the young and old."

October was actually Senior’s Month and to celebrate the shire’s silver haired residents, Mossman Support Services and Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre teamed up to host a group of 50 of our older and wiser community members for a fun day out to Kuranda’s RainforeStation.

The group were collected by FNQ Bus Lines and driven up to RainforeStation where they got up close and personal with the flora and the fauna of the rainforest on the army duck tour. After that, they were treated to a delicious Aussie barbecue buffet lunch and then whiled away the time in the wildlife park.

Apart from getting to know the Tassie devils, dingos and wallabies, they also listened to some very interesting and funny croc talk, basically all about the saltwater crocodiles. The guests returned home exhausted but happy and have already begun asking when the next trip will be.

This is my “alternative” text
