Innisfail top club
A BUSY rest of the year is ahead for Marlin Coast Netball, following the successful Marlin Coast Regional Representative Carnival held recently in Atherton.

The event served as valuable preparation for the State Age Championships in July, and several players backed up impressively after competing at the NSW championships.
The Tablelands netball association welcomed teams from Tully, Innisfail, Mareeba, Cairns and their own ranks for a day of high-level competition across four age groups - 12s, 13s, 14s and 16s who played in cool and breezy conditions. The carnival also gave the Tablelands netball association the opportunity to showcase its brand-new multisport complex at Atherton State High School. Featuring two covered courts, the all-weather facility impressed the visiting associations, many of whom are now looking to follow suit.
On the court, Innisfail emerged as the dominant force, taking out the U16, U14 and U13 divisions by edging out Tablelands in close contests. Tablelands claimed victory in the 12/U group, finishing ahead of the Dolphins.
Attention now turns to a packed calendar in the second half of the year, including the Fowler’s Group Club Carnival, Primary, Secondary and Netta school events, and the Kenfrost Homes Marlin Coast Academy Gala Days and Festival in September and October.
With momentum building, Marlin Coast Netball looks set for a strong and exciting finish to 2025.
