ICONIC show highlights best of Cairns High
CAIRNS State High School students will take centre stage at the Cairns Performing Arts Centre next Wednesday, September 10, for ICONIC, the school’s annual showcase of music, dance, drama and film.
The one-night event is the school’s major arts performance of the year, bringing together award-winning ensembles and fresh original works.
Highlights include performances by the Chorale Choir, winners of the 2025 Queensland Choral Fanfare State Championships, the Senior Percussion Ensemble, crowned champions at the Australian Percussion Eisteddfod, and the Symphony Orchestra, a state championship finalist.
Head of arts David Marsden said ICONIC reflected the students’ passion and dedication.
“ICONIC is more than just a performance evening – it is a celebration of the passion, discipline and artistry of our students,” he said.
The evening also features contemporary dance, drama, and short films created by the young artists of Cairns State High.
ICONIC 2025 begins at 7pm at CPAC.
