The Easter program features hands-on sessions across a variety of mediums, including clay, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture and comic art, with all materials provided.

For ages 5-9, workshops run from 7 April to 17 April. Sessions include air-dry clay play on 7 April, art gallery dioramas on 8 April and comic book character factory on 9 April. Sculptural assemblages and printmaking are both scheduled for 10 April, followed by mixed media on 13 April and paper garlands on 17 April.

For ages 9-14, afternoon classes cover similar themes and dates, including Figurines with armature wire and clay on 7 April, art gallery dioramas on 8 April and comic book character team building on 9 April. Sculptural assemblages and mixed media watercolour landscapes are offered on 10 April, with abstract painting on canvas on 13 April and collaged magazines on 17 April.

According to organisers, “all materials are provided for all classes. To promote a focused and independent learning environment, we require that parents/carers not remain in the classroom during art sessions. Students can enjoy this activity under the supervision of our qualified teachers.”

The gallery is also offering adult classes, including an abstract acrylics two-day workshop with Maharlina Gorospe-Lockie on 28 and 29 March, life drawing with Sue Schreiber on 18 April and an intermediate soft pastels four-week course beginning 22 April.

Current exhibitions at the gallery include ‘Panorama: Collection in Focus’, until 6 April 2026 and ‘Of This Earth: Transforming Culture and Country Through First Nations Ceramics’, until 14 June 2026.

Bookings are now open, with the gallery encouraging early registration as places are limited.
