Both initiatives form part of Queensland Day on 6 June, shining a spotlight on the people, places and businesses that stand for what Queensland means and loves.

From selfless grassroots achievers, to local heroes and community volunteers, to our recognisable faces and organisations, the Queensland Day Awards acknowledge the incredible contributors who make Queensland shine.

The ‘all the best’ campaign returns in 2026, inviting Queenslanders to vote across 15 categories, from the best bakery to the most stunning beach.

Voting is now open, with each entry giving nominators the chance to take home a massive prize pack.

Premier David Crisafulli said Queensland Day was a day to celebrate what made Queensland the best place in the world to live.

“From your local pizzeria to your favourite beach, we want Queenslanders to share what they love most about our amazing state,” he said.

“We’re also calling on all Queenslanders to help us recognise our amazing community members and organisations by nominating them as part of this year’s competition.”

Member for Barron River Bree James said there was no shortage of contenders Far North Queenslanders could choose from.

“From the Reef to the rainforest, our region is powered by resilient tourism operators and strong local communities, and the Queensland Day Awards provide a meaningful way to recognise those helping Tropical Far North Queensland continue to thrive,” Ms James said.

Member for Mulgrave Terry James said the awards were a great opportunity to highlight small businesses and selfless volunteers.

Winners for all the best will be announced on Wednesday 3 June.
