Get behind charity

MCDONALD’S Gordonvale is rallying the local community for McHappy Day on Saturday, 15 November, to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Restaurant manager Marcus Borgo said the event was a chance for locals to give back to families in need who rely on the Ronald McDonald House.

“I know a lot of family members and friends, who’ve had their kids or family at the house, and it’s just such a small thing I personally can do to make a difference and help those in need,” Mr Borgo said.

This year’s event will feature a money board, raffle and ‘guess the lollies in the jar’ competition for children.

A wheelbarrow full of gifts will be raffled off, alongside a variety of community-run stalls.

Mr Borgo said the Gordonvale Red Cross Branch, led by his mother Loretta Borgo would again lend their support through home baking and fundraising.
