Free street art classes
YOUNG artists have until the end of today, August 1, to register their interest in a free street art workshop led by renowned muralist Cam Scale at the Tully Showgrounds.

The Cassowary Coast Regional Council initiative will see students from Tully State High School work alongside Mr Scale to design and install a large-scale mural spanning the entrance to the showgrounds, including the Stan MacKay Building, Tully Show Society building and the horticultural pavilion.
Funded through the Regional Arts Development Fund, the project aims to empower youth through creative expression, while enhancing a key community space.
“This is a fantastic example of creativity and community coming together,” said Cassowary Coast Mayor Teresa Millwood.
“Not only will this project help brighten and revitalise a public space, it’s also a meaningful opportunity for local youth to express themselves and contribute to something lasting in our region,” she said.
The free workshop and artistic display will be held at the showgrounds this Sunday, August 3, from 9.30am to 11.30am. Participants under the age of 18 will need parental consent.
